My name is Teondra Lyles, and I am a Music Educator. I have seen in over nine years of experience the power of music during the learning process. Music not only enhances the learning ability of the child, but also makes the learning process exciting and fun. My sincere concern for children is what has enabled me to write lyrics and music called "Happy Choices". I have developed songs that teach children character development, diet, family values, range and motion, cognitive and motor skills, senses, hygiene and a host of many other lessons. Each CD includes a booklet to help retain the child's attention when working one on one. The booklet is filled with pictures and lyrics. Vol. II also includes activities. Our mission is "Reaching and Teaching Children to Make Happy Choices". My heart is filled with joy when I see the children interact during my enrichment activities. I tell stories through song and pictures, sing and play the piano, spray the children with water while also telling them the importance of clean hands. There is a song called "The Germ Song" that goes along with this activity.I do enrichment activities for preschools, churches, clubs, birthday parties and elementary schools. Our children need to be equipped to live in today's society. Merely teaching them the importance of family values, social skills, character development and attitude truly contributes to making some wise choices.
